their developer team so.u c I wud go for just use its code base for myself in that case.Extends the NuGet Addin for MonoDevelop, Xamarin Studio and Visual Studio for MacĪdds some extra features to the NuGet addin that are not currently built-in. even pricing system u c :)Īnyway my main ques is Does it support this Xamarin Studio or Mono Develop 4.0 thing whtever u call it like desktop application building? And can I use its source code for my purpose? I mean my ideas they might not be liking. I mean I am not technology men just a hobbyist as far computer is concerned.so dont know much abt all those things. Second they its open source so can I modify it for my own use or get into development team to help develop it?Īnd if its open source then what kinda pricing things you talking abt.more importantly this monthly installment kinda thing.I recently saw this kinda pricing in Visual studio thing as well.I mean previous time we just use to brought visual studio or OS than I think it got purchased right?.we don't have to pay a subscription fee every month for that like how u say it in english?.rent it than brought it eh? :) but first I didn't purchased it yet.just downloaded a copy of XamarinStudio-5.10.1. just search for some opensource visual studio kinda IDE that I happened to bump into this. Then again I am not searching something to create some app for any mobile but desktop application is my concern.I didn't like visual studio that much so I was searching for some open source IDE so that maybe I can tune one to my liking if still not support those things that I wud like to have.So I came to know .and third and last Sharp Develop I mean these three I find interesting :)īut when I downloaded this Xamarin whatever asked for some GTK thing to be installed first which they on their page say included with this.anyway i downloaded it as well now.seems like it got installed after all.but looks more likea mobile app IDE.which at the moment not my current interest. So does this also support desktop application for windows.I mean its cross platform tool and library. If technical guys so confused abt all this then wht gonna happen of me  Once you have it installed, you can remove MonoDevelop 3.x from your /Applications folder.

So, install the new stuff (as you have paid, it's all included), then see what Xamarin Studio (the new MonoDevelop) says in it's about box. HOWEVER, just to confuse things: if you bought it today, and paid $1899, you bought Enterprise (the new one), but their billing system might not have been updated, so it still says MonoTouch Enterprise on the receipt, where it should say "Xamarin.iOS can you bug Bojan or someone to check the receipts?
#Monodevelop xamarin studio pro#
Have a read of the FAQ if you bought it really recently, 'cos I think they are doing a downgrade-and-get-a-refund type thing if you bought the old Pro recently and want Indie. Starter (free, limitations) <- new! kind of.īusiness ($999) <- if you bought Pro, you now have this nowĮnterprise ($1899) <- if you had Enterprise before, you have this now (and enterprise with special support, but I'm going to ignore that - $a-whole-lot) You can download the whole shooting match from the one installer on that page: Mono 2.10.11, Xamarin Studio 4.0, Xamarin.iOS 6.2, Xamarin.Android 4.6.Īs for what you paid for, when did you buy it? It should be this url, but you'll need to be logged in to get to it: The pricing just changed, too, which is what might be confusing.įirst up, get all the "Xamarin 2.0" stuff from here, it's the latest and was released today:įailing that ('cos thats the trial download), go into, login (top right), and hit the "install" link in that drop down. So think of it as MonoDevelop 4.0+++ version.
